Question about pa license suspension credit.

Q:

I recently got my drivers license suspended but I either lost my license or never had one. The suspension is going to start in two weeks. What should I do to make sure everything goes smooth.

A:

You should get yourself a DL-16 and send that to PennDOT via certified mail!
Even though you do not have a Pennsylvania drivers license they require acknowledgment of the suspension to get credit for that suspension.

Pendot pa license suspension forms

Go there and get form number "5"
Fill out the form and make sure you complete section "b"
Send it to PennDOT at the bottom of the form.
ONLY send it by a traceable carrier. (UPS, FedEX, USPS certified mail)
SAVE that receipt and the copy of the form!!

It is important that you get pa suspension credit started. Do not get caught driving in PA during your suspension.

Good luck!
Vince
